Panama City-FSU Campus Camps

STEM Summer Camp

Summer STEM Camps provide a week of hands-on learning for students in middle and high school. Teachers train with practicing scientists and engineers from the Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division to learn the knowledge and skills required of STEM professionals. Students then arrive and work with both teachers and STEM professionals as they work with robotics, environment, electrical engineering and computer science. Camp registration is open to rising 8th graders and the high school camp is open to rising 9th and 10th graders. Students work in teams and rotate through the various learning experiences. Students are ultimately responsible for a final presentation that captures their learning and requires their use of technology as they present to a panel of STEM professionals who judge their presentations. This camp is free and open to the public.
